Aging 100 Connects with Atlanta Seniors at the Inaugural Aging Better Expo

We were honored when Atlanta News First invited Aging 100 to participate in its inaugural Aging Better Expo on Wednesday, August 29, at The Ivy Community Center.

The event brought together trusted experts, community organizations, and local resources with one shared goal: helping older adults and their families navigate aging with greater confidence, connection, and support.

Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to participate in engaging panels, watch live demonstrations, ask questions, and connect with organizations offering valuable information and resources. It was an empowering reminder that healthy aging is about more than health alone, it’s also about having access to community, information, meaningful support, and opportunities to stay engaged.

Sharing the Aging 100 Mission

One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to share the Aging 100 mission with Atlanta News First correspondent and award-winning television personality Ava Braatz.

We talked about why Aging 100 was created, the programs we’re developing to support older adults and their families, and some of the initiatives we have coming up. Most importantly, we shared our belief that every older adult should have access to the resources, support, and community needed to live a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

The expo also gave us the chance to connect directly with dozens of local seniors, family members, community partners, and organizations working to make aging better across Atlanta.

Those conversations are at the heart of what we do.

Every conversation helps us better understand what older adults need, what families are experiencing, and where there are opportunities to build stronger connections and create greater impact. We left the expo with new relationships, new ideas, and renewed excitement about the work ahead.
