Bringing Healthy Aging to the Community: Aging 100 at Local Health Fairs

At Aging 100, we believe that healthy aging begins with access to information, resources, and meaningful community connections. That's why we spent the first half of the year participating in community health fairs across the region, meeting older adults where they are and sharing practical ways to live longer, healthier, and more connected lives.

Throughout the first and second quarters, our team had the opportunity to connect with hundreds of older adults, caregivers, family members, and community partners. These events allowed us to introduce attendees to Aging 100's mission and showcase the programs designed to remove barriers to healthy aging.

Golden Years Senior Fair, March 21, 2027
The Golden Years Senior Fair is a free community event offering health screenings, wellness resources, dancing, food, fun activities, senior-focused services, and dozens of vendor all in one place.

Visitors to our booth learned about our signature initiatives, including:

  • Healthy Aging & Life Enrichment (HALE) – Educational workshops and community conversations that empower older adults with practical strategies for healthy aging.

  • 100 Red Bags Initiative – Providing essential supplies and wellness resources to under-served seniors.

  • 100 Wishes Initiative – Celebrating the lives of older adults while helping reduce social isolation through meaningful experiences.

  • Family Caregiver Support – Connecting caregivers with education, resources, and support to help them care for their loved ones while caring for themselves.

Beyond sharing information, these health fairs gave us the opportunity to listen. We heard stories of resilience, answered questions about healthy aging, connected individuals with local resources, and built new relationships with organizations that share our commitment to supporting older adults.

We are grateful to the community organizations and event partners who welcomed Aging 100 and made these events possible. Together, we're expanding access to healthy aging resources and helping more older adults discover the support they need to live healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives.

As we look ahead to the second half of the year, we remain committed to meeting older adults in the communities they call home, sharing knowledge, building connections, and advancing our mission of helping senior citizens reach the age of 100 and beyond.

Together, we're making 100 possible.
